About the Artist

Harry Learned was one of Colorado's earliest artists-in-residence. Settling in Denver in 1874, he, along with Charles Partridge Adams and Harvey Otis Young, was a charter member of the Art Club of Denver which was established in 1893. He is best known for his mining scenes particularly of the Summit County area of Colorado.
